Briggs 653300 Fill Valve. This replaces old Briggs part 653301. Therefore all of the tanks that used the old style valve will use this Valve. It comes complete with the nuts and washers to secure the valve to the tank. The supply line nut is included. The supply line washer also comes with this valve. Therefore the valve can be installed received. 

The job of the fill valve is to replace the water in the tank once the flush is over. It puts the water back into the tank. If your valve is making a loud squealing noise it is more than likely the diaphragm. Which is in the top of the fill valve. However if it is constantly running that is because of the flush valve. 

The Briggs 653300 Fill Valve comes complete. It replaces the old style fill valve. Also if your fill valve shuts on and off randomly that is because of the flush valve. If water is leaking into the tank the fill valve has to replenish the water. Therefore it will turn on randomly. This valve fits the 4430 and 4440 tanks.
